Security Officer Purpose and Scope The Security Officer will be responsible for ongoing operations of security systems and adherence to all security regulations. The security officer will complete at least semiannual audits of security measures to ensure compliance. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the completion of all required training related to security. The Security Officer will ensure that Organic Remedies always utilizes the best and most efficient security technology and protocols. Reports Director of Security or his designee. Security Officers • Report for duty for assigned shift 15 minutes prior to starting time. • Current shifts are 0600-1800 (one officer), 1200-1800 (one officer), and if needed at future date a 2200-0600 (one officer) • Off going shift is to provide all pertinent shift pass-on information to on-coming shift • Officer(s) are to remain vigilant by monitoring both the interior and exterior of the OR Facility on camera monitors in the Security Command Center (SCC). • Officer(s) are to review and have knowledge of who affiliated employees and who has authorization to be in the Processing Facility and specific zones • Officer(s) are responsible for entry control to the facility • Security is responsible for badge exchange for employees prior to entering the OR facility. • Visitor Access: Security is responsible for signing in all visitors into the facility. This will include filling out a visitor log, making a copy of identification and issuing a visitor badge. • Escorts: Security is responsible for ensuring that a dedicated escort is assigned to each visitor/contractor • Escorts: Security officers will act as escorts in the Processing Facility as required • Maintain key log and issue keys to authorized personnel. • Package Delivery: Security will monitor deliveries that arrive at the facility and accept them from the drivers. Regular deliveries come from U.S. Postal Service, FedEx and UPS. Officers in turn will deliver them within the facility to the appropriate person or make notification to appropriate individual. • Truck Delivery: When necessary, security will assist with deliveries that come in on tractor trailer by operation of forklift. • Patrols: Officers will conduct random patrols on the interior and exterior of the facility. Logbook Entry: Observations are recorded on the Shift Report and reported to proper person for immediate attention if deemed necessary. • Alarm Response: Officers will respond to any alarm activation within the facility. Incidents will be logged into the Shift Report and a formal incident report will be written. • A Formal incident report will be submitted to security supervisor for review. • Officers are responsible for verifying written visitor logs on all shifts. This information is visually checked for accuracy, and review of recorded camera activity if necessary. • Additional Duties: Officers are expected to assist cultivation, packaging, janitorial services, and extraction as needed. Examples include thermostat monitoring, laboratory checks of equipment, resetting of alarms. • LMS Training: Officers are required to complete regular training through the LMS systems. • Security will remain on their assigned post until properly relieved. Physical Requirements of the Job: MODERATELY LABOR INTENSIVE. Lifting, standing, walking, sitting, computer work, (lots of numbers), step ladder/small 4 ft ladder, packages can be up to 50 pounds and on shelving at or above eye level, work during non-standard hours, perform repetitive hand motions (barcoding/stickering/typing). Occasional use of Forklift as needed. The duties and responsibilities listed in this job description are wide-ranging for this position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
